REVIEW ON THE BOOK (Shiva Trilogy 1- THE IMMORTALS OF MELUHA) by Amish
One day while I was setting my book store, found this book and than I remember that because of my some friends I bought it. The first impression after a look on the cover page was, may be it is a kind of a holy book like we have Ramayan etc., and its quite boring for me reading holy books, but I am so happy that I read it and completed it, as it is so interesting and yet two books are pending.
Amish has written trilogy ( a set of three books) and I had completed the First part. Basically, it is a story of the man named (Shiva). Shiva is a normal man in a story and was novice about his importance for the two sects of the society. Most of the characters in the story are similar to the picture of Lord Shiv that we worship and mostly found in Temples too, like Nandi is shown as a disciple of Shiva, Sati being beloved of Shiva and a Wife etc. Amish has beautifully portrayed every character in a story. It starts by showing shiva as a normal man who lives in small land called Kailash Parvat and was offered by foreigner’s to live in the kingdom of Meluha which is shown as the richest city of that time, where he found the love of his life and was treated like a Lord due to his blue throat, which was turned blue because of a drink offered by meluhans in his journey.
At first shiva was clueless that why he was treated as a Lord, but sooner became a leader of meluha and fought a battle for meluhans to take vengeance. However, the attribute of this story is that when hardly 50 pages are left to read suddenly it take twist.
When i started with the first page from that point I was confident about reading it. Love, Friendships, Lies, Fights etc. everything you will find in this. Every chapter has some meaningful story. My personal experience is so good and i have not found anything from which I am not satisfied with. This book is not for specific kinds of people who have specific kinds of interest but for all, as the story is filled with love and war. If someone would ask me to give stars than i will give 5 stars.
